Step-by-step Instructions:

  1. For 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros, attach sticker either to the side of the MacBook or inside of the Docking Station for smoother docking.
  2. Plug power cable and peripherals into the Docking Station.
  3. Enable Bluetooth and connect Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. (Skip this step if you are using a wired mouse & keyboard or a USB Bluetooth dongle.)
  4. Align MacBook Logo and AscronoTM Logo.
    Note: Do not insert the wrong way around! The MacBook will not fit and could get scratched and/or stuck.
  5. Slide the MacBook in until the LED lights up.
    Tip: Hold the MacBook on its side – not on the top – for smoother docking.
    Note: Do not use force! The MacBook should slide in smoothly with small amounts of pressure.
    Note: Make sure your MacBook & the inside of the Docking Station are free from dust and rough dirt! Small rough pieces of dirt trapped between the MacBook and the Dock may cause scratches to the surface.

ADDITIONAL TIPS:

  • The power cable must be plugged in for the MacBook to power on in clamshell mode (closed lid).

  • Use CMD + CTRL + Q to lock screen; or,
  • Choose “Sleep” to power your MacBook down.
  • Hit spacebar on your keyboard to wake MacBook from locked screen & sleep mode (works for both Bluetooth and wired keyboards)
  • When choosing “Shut Down…” to power your MacBook down, beware that your MacBook will restart when connected to the Dock. Undock your MacBook to prevent a restart or choose “Sleep”.
    Note: Lock screen only allows your displays to go to sleep, but will keep programs running in the background.
    Note: Sleep mode allows your displays to go to sleep, as well as your MacBook. All your programs will resume running when woken up from sleep mode.
